Our back, neck and shoulders usually carry a lot of weight - physically, emotionally and mentally. When your back, neck and shoulders start to feel sore or tense it could mean that your body has soaked up a lot of lower energy, either from yourself (negative self-talk and overthinking, anxiety and stress) and / or the energy from others around you. Or if you believe in energy fields and auras - when certain areas on your body feel sore or start to hurt or tense up, it could mean (metaphysically) that there is a crack, or an opening where your Qi is leaking and lower energies are being drawn to there. Especially as an empath, this feeling is very noticeable and often uncomfortable.
When I worked at my previous job, I used to have a constant soreness and tension around my right neck and shoulder, like an invincible weight pushing down on me. It only happens when I was in the workroom with my team at my old work place. Whenever I would leave for lunch the soreness around my neck and shoulder would dissipate only to return again when I entered that room. That could mean a few things - 1) there are a lot of lower vibrations and energy in that room due to clutter or 2) the stress and anxiety I was feeling from my co-worker and manager.
Because it was a hybrid work situation, we were free to come into the office whenever we needed to. So one day, I decided to come into the office when my co-worker and manager were not there. Needless to say, that day my neck and shoulder were pain free. I tried this out a few more times..and as I thought, the days when they were not in the office, the soreness around my neck and shoulder were gone. Although there were a few times when I was alone in that room, the lights flickered randomly…(but I try not to think too much about it). In the end I'm not sure why it was with them that I felt this tension around my neck and shoulder, as I worked with other managers and team members from that company. However on those days, I burn an incense and do an energy cleanse when I get home to relieve the tension around my neck and shoulders.
If any other empaths out there is going through this currently in their workplace, I suggest carrying a Rose Quartz crystal or an EIP Nikola Tesla Charging Plate with them. For the last year or so, I have been carrying an EIP Nikola Tesla Charging Plate with me in my pocket because it helps to block out some of the lower energy and vibrations from affecting me. Also if there is a park nearby your workplace go there and soak up some sun and walk barefoot on the grass during your lunch break. The sun has a naturally radiant and positive Qi that helps release negative energy while grass, plants and nature, soak up the positive Qi from the sun’s light. So like a circuit, the sun helps us release the negative energies while the grass refuels us with positive Qi.
Of course the most effective way to protect yourself is to make sure you cultivate a positive and healthy Qi, to avoid being easily and directly affected by the energies around you — from people or the unseen.
